Since its discovery in 1817 by the English doctor after which it was named, Parkinson’s disease is still considered incurable. This disorder of the nervous system prevents the production of the substance dopamine in the brain, the deficiency of which causes the death of neurons with devastating consequences for human motor skills. Three people who have been living with Parkinson’s disease for many years are portrayed trying to master their daily lives with dignity. The film also examines the latest research.
