Not far from Harare, Zimbabwe, artist Rachel Monosov proposes to the inhabitants of a small village to paint their mud huts pink. After an initial reticence, visible irritation and eventual curiosity, they accept. The dialogue between the villagers and the group of artists present reveals the aesthetic, political and cultural relationship between Africa and the West. What is beautiful? And why does everyone think Africans always need aid and assistance? Using art as a catalyst, a debate ignites between the visitors and villagers.
