New archival findings allow Jan N. Lorenzen and Michael Schönherr to retell one of the most terrible chapters of German history from another perspective. Auctioneer Hans Klemm from Leipzig meticulously kept records of each former Jewish possession between 1922 and 1944. For the two filmmakers these archival findings form the starting point to meet contemporary witnesses who store in their cellars furniture or other objects of former Jewish possession. Based on this research they tell the morbid and sad story of the „Jewish furniture“.
